FRIED POTATOES & DODOL RECIPE



Pan Fried Potatoes

These light and crisp potatoes are delicious with a whole rage of dishes like roast game or poached fish. They are quick and easy to make and have the same characteristics as normal roast potatoes but in half the time!

Ingredients

  • 100g - 150g potato per person
  • 250ml vegetable oil
Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes boiling and 10 minutes frying
Serves: as many as you like

Method

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into roughly 2cm pieces.
  2. Boil the potato pieces in water for 10 minutes until they are soft around the edges.
  3. Drain the water and let them steam for about 1 minute. Place the lid on the pan and holding the lid securely, shake the potatoes until they are all roughed up around the edges.
  4. In a frying pan add the oil and heat it over a medium heat. Carefully place the potatoes into the hot oil and fry them for about 10 minutes, turning the potato pieces every now and then.
When they are crisp and golden brown, remove them from the pan and place them onto kitchen paper to drain off the excess fat. Then season them with salt and serve immediately. 


How to make dodol Sulumits (Indonesian Food)


Here I will show you how to make dodol Sulumits Retsambew , I as I mentioned in the previous post that Sulumits Is really dodol, now its the time to learn how to make “Dodol Sulumits Retsambew“.
Things we need :
  1. 1.8 kg  glutinous rice flour
  2. 300 g rice flour
  3. 3.6 kg palm sugar
  4. 12 coconuts, extract as much milk as possible, separating the thin from the thick
  5. 10 – 15 screw pine leaves
How To :
  1. You Have to mix both types of flour with the thin coconut milk and strain into an iron pan.
  2. Then cook the palm sugar and screw pine leaves with a little bit of water and when it has dissolved pour into the pan
  3. Bring the mixture to boil over a very low flame, stirring continuously
  4. When it is half cooked add the thick coconut milk and continue stirring until cooked
  5. Finally, When mixture no longer sticks to the fingers, it is ready to be removed from the fire How To Make Salted Eggs

  6. Material:
    Item 10 Duck Egg
    10 tbsp Salt Kitchen
    1000 ml Water
    Utensils: Wide-mouthed glass jar, Measuring cups, Cheesecloth
    Directions:
    1. Clean the duck egg with the scrub / brush to clean select eggs that really good.
    2. Prepare a Tupperware container to store / brood duck eggs (by using single Deco).
    3. Pour water into the container and then enter the Single Deci salt and stir well, so that a salt water solution.
    4. Enter a duck egg that is clean into the solution.
    5. Close the container tightly, then store in a dry place.
    6. For eggs with low salinity levels recorded 1 week only, to strangeness being stored for 2 weeks and if you want to “Egypt” (egg yolks until they release the oil) are stored up to 3 weeks then the egg can be boiled or make other dishes
